Coming Together to Target Cancer

The first annual Jimmy Pappas Memorial Sporting Clay Shoot was held in 2014 at the Greater Houston Sports Club. In the same year, 1,665,540 new cancer cases were diagnosed and 585,720 people died due to cancer, the second most common cause of death in the U.S.

Hosted by Michael Cox, John Elder, Peter Harding and Gregory Pappas, the inaugural event raised $46,500 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Houston. In the years following, the event contributed more than 1 million dollars to Houston-area charities benefiting cancer research. Thanks to the overwhelming support from the community, the event continues to grow and promote change for those facing a cancer diagnosis.

Continuing their tradition of leadership, below are this year’s chairs.
